This is a salon based course. We go through 4 stages of introducing a puppy to the salon using a mixture of games and training. All the while habituating them to the sounds and smells of the salon. We only move on a stage when the puppy is completely confident and happy to proceed.
This is recommended for all puppies not just those that need regularly haircuts.
Any dog that is likely to visit the salon for a bath and nails will benefit from this. In fact it's a great way to build confidence and resilience in your pup for socialisation purposes.
This is a course available to owners taught in the salon and soon to be online too. It will teach you how to look after your dogs coat and keep them clean and free from mats in between grooming appointments.
How to choose and use the correct brushes and combs.
What to do if your dog doesn't like being groomed.
What to expect from your groomer and how to ask for what you want. Common myths busted.
This course is for coat care maintenance only, not clipping hair.
This will be offered initially in the salon to both owners and groomers, soon to be available on line.
It will include teaching you the skills needed for cooperative care. Split into 7 stages you will build a stronger bond and understanding with your dog.
It will give your dog the skills they need when being examined by the vet, groomed, applying medications in ears/eyes, checking their paws and legs safely etc.
This is a course written especially for groomers who would like to expand their knowledge on understanding dog behaviour and why they do the things they do. With tips and tricks to help with the more difficult dogs and help to run a calm dog centred salon.
This will be available as a seminar, on line and 121 training.
